The Northeast Region of Thailand!

The Northeast region, said to be the “Kingdom’s heartland”, incorporates 19 provinces, and diverse and beautiful landscapes from mountains to plains, form national parks to agricultural land, and from villages to cities. Isan (the collective term for the northeast region) is rich in natural scenery, ancient temples and archaeological sites.

Khon Kaen University offers three tracts of studies to international students: non-degree, undergraduate, and graduate. The non-degree programs include short-course training, continuing education courses, workshops, and other activities related to research or to Khon Kaen Universityӳ activities.

International students who are interested in registering for a regular course at KhonKaen University but do not intend to earn a degree, may also apply for a non-degree tract. The application process and acceptance to a non-degree tract depends on the faculty, institution, or organization which is responsible for the particular non-degree course.

Academic Qualification

An international student who is interested in applying for a program tract should contact the KKU Academic Service Unit to obtain the application information and application form, and submit the completed application to the Academic Service Unit. Acceptance to the undergraduate,Graduate and Doctoral program depends on the committee of the faculty to which the program belongs.
